Rachel's TCM treatments

Acupuncture

Acupuncture is widely recognised for its effectiveness in relieving pain and addressing muscular and skeletal issues. It has also been used for centuries to treat mental health concerns and various internal conditions.

Chinese Herbal Medicine

Traditionally, Chinese herbal medicine was used in dried, raw form and required meticulous decoction. Now, granule forms simplify preparation. Herbal combinations are tailored to individual symptoms and needs. If you’re vegetarian or vegan, consult your practitioner to ensure your prescription is free from animal substances.

Cupping

Cupping is commonly used to promote blood circulation, helping to relieve muscle tension and support the body’s natural healing process. In addition to these benefits, it can also be used to alleviate cold and flu symptoms by clearing congestion, boosting the immune system, and promoting detoxification.

Facial Acupuncture

Facial acupuncture stimulates the body’s natural healing response, promoting collagen and elastin production. Beyond its cosmetic benefits, it is also effective in treating post-stroke symptoms and facial paralysis. We combine body and facial acupuncture to enhance the effects, finishing with soothing face cupping and gua sha, leaving you feeling rejuvenated after the treatment.

Moxibustion

Moxibustion is a therapy using burning mugwort to heal. It’s applied on skin or acupuncture needles to warm and stimulate acupuncture points, enhancing circulation, reducing pain, and boosting immunity. Often combined with acupuncture for holistic treatment.

TCM Dietary Advice

TCM dietary therapy is based on the principle that food can be a powerful form of medicine when chosen and prepared correctly. By understanding your body’s unique needs and the therapeutic properties of different foods, you can significantly enhance your healing process.
